Massage Therapy in Bozeman, Without the Upcharge Menu

One price covers what your body needs, whether that’s deep tissue/pressure, hot stones, cupping, or essential oils. Licensed massage therapists, seven days a week, at 1811 W Koch St.

What your body needs is included

At most places, a massage is a base price plus a menu: add deep tissue, add hot stones, add cupping, and watch the total climb. We think that’s backwards. Your therapist should choose techniques based on what your body needs that day, not on what you pre-paid for.

So at HIVE, a custom massage includes deep tissue/pressure, hot stones, cupping, and essential oils at one price. Tell your therapist what’s going on, and they’ll use whatever combination serves you best. If your shoulders need deep work and your feet need hot stones, that’s one massage, not one massage and two add-ons.

Every therapist here is licensed, and every session is tailored on the table. You can see who you’ll be working with on our About page.

Custom massage

This is the massage most patients book. Your therapist starts by asking what’s going on: where it hurts, what you do all day, how you sleep, what you’re hoping the hour accomplishes. Then they build the session around the answers.

Prenatal massage is a custom session too: every therapist here is trained in it, and it isn't a single modality, so you still get the stones, the oils, and everything else that fits. Position-adjusted and pregnancy-safe for low back pain, hip pressure, swelling, and sleep trouble, at the same price as any other custom massage. Available as 60-, 75-, or 90-minute sessions.

Common reasons people book: chronic neck and back pain, sports injuries and recovery, desk-job shoulders, stress that's gone physical, headaches and jaw tension, and the simple fact that it’s been too long.

Included at no extra charge, if your body needs it:

If your body needs it, the custom massage includes at no extra charge:

  • Deep tissue and deep pressure work for layered tension.

  • Hot stones to increase circulation and calm your nervous system.

  • Cupping for circulation and fascial release.

  • Essential oils for enhanced relaxation and flow, calming the mind and the tissue.

  • Swedish, trigger point, and myofascial techniques as your therapist sees fit.

45 min · $79 | 60 min · $110 | 75 min · $132 | 90 min · $158 | 2 hours · $210

Two optional add-ons

A quick distinction, because it matters: techniques like deep tissue/pressure, hot stones, and cupping are part of every custom massage, never billed separately. Add-ons are different: two specific extras you can attach to a session if you want them.

Restorative Topical: Magnesium or Hemp Balm — $20

A therapeutic topical worked into the areas that need it most. Choose magnesium, known for calming muscle cramps and tension, or a hemp-derived botanical balm prized for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties. Your therapist can help you pick. Included free with your monthly membership massage.

Abdominal Visceral Manipulation — $20

Gentle, targeted work with the abdomen and the connective tissue around your internal organs. Chosen for digestive complaints, post-surgical restriction, low back pain with an abdominal component, and tension that massage from the back never quite resolves. Offered by Bry, Mercedes, and Heather as an add-on to 75-minute, 90-minute, or 2-hour massages; add it when booking online or mention it when you call.

Specialty sessions, for specific needs

Some situations call for a dedicated modality rather than a blended session. Specialty massages cost more than custom sessions for a simple reason: they require additional training and certification that only some of our therapists hold. You’re paying for a skill, and we’d rather say that plainly than hide it in the price.

Craniosacral Therapy

Extremely gentle, focused work with the head, spine, and nervous system, following the body's natural craniosacral rhythms. Often chosen for concussion and head-injury recovery, migraines, chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, and cases where deeper pressure is too much. Our craniosacral therapists trained through the Upledger Institute and in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

Sessions: 60 min · $130 | 75 min · $152 | 90 min · $178

Intraoral Massage

Treatment for the jaw, head, neck, and shoulders, including massage inside the mouth performed with gloved hands. The most direct way to address TMJ pain, clenching, grinding, and the jaw, neck, and shoulder tension that regular neck work can't fully reach. Odd-sounding, patients agree, right up until it works. Your first intraoral session is always 90 minutes, so there’s room for assessment and pacing; after that, book whichever length fits.

Sessions: first visit 90 min · $178 | follow-ups 60 min · $130, 75 min · $152, 90 min · $178

Table Thai Massage

Assisted stretching and rhythmic compression, adapted from traditional Thai massage to a table (no mat, clothes stay on). Choose it when you want to leave longer and looser rather than just relaxed. A good fit for athletes, climbers, and anyone whose flexibility has quietly left the building.

Sessions: 60 min · $130 | 75 min · $152 | 90 min · $178 | 2 hours · $230

The math is simple: every specialty session is $20 more than a custom massage of the same length. No tiers, no fine print.

Your first massage at HIVE

Arrive about ten minutes early. Your therapist will ask a few questions, then leave the room while you get on the table under the sheet, undressed to your comfort level (for table Thai, stay dressed in something stretchy). Speak up any time about pressure, temperature, or areas to focus on or skip: adjusting is part of the job, and no therapist here is offended by feedback.

Afterward, drink more water than you think you need, and your therapist will give you feedback on the session and what you might expect to feel, although every body responds differently. Your therapist documents treatment notes in your chart, so your next session, or your next acupuncture appointment, starts where this one left off.

Better together

Everything offered at HIVE is focused on flow. There is a basic Chinese medical tenet: when there is a lack of flow, there is pain. That can mean physical or mental and emotional pain. We strive to create flow both with hands-on and self-guided modalities. Adding a session before or after is a continuation of what your practitioner is working on: lymphatic drainage, immune support, targeted muscle movement and relaxation, body contouring, stress and tension release, and more.

Sauna before

Infrared heat warms your muscles first, so deep tissue work goes deeper with less effort.

Roller after

The lymphatic roller helps clear what the massage stirred up and keeps everything moving.

Acupuncture between

Acupuncture between massages brings two systems of medicine to bear on the whole problem.
